Mobile Broadcast Device

The project relating to data transfer & adaptation and synchronisation to mobile devices enables multimedia message and content transfer to mobile devices like mobile phones, PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant) and other mobile devices. This system enables message and content transfer to mobile devices without using mobile operator infrastructure systems like SMS (Short Message System), MMS (Multimedia Message System), GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), EDGE or 3G. Content is transferred to a device using a Bluetooth infrastructure.

The project is based of one central server that manages content (add, update, delete) that is sent to mobile devices and an unlimited number of mobile broadcast units that send message and content to mobile devices. Through the central server, all units are managed and synchronised. Every mobile broadcast unit transfers mobile device information to a central device to determine what type and which content should be sent to mobile devices. Using this smart mechanism, each device receives one message at a time.

The system consists of centralised software that manages the system, separates the Telco grade content management system, has a central relational database, statistics & reports, an administration module and mobile broadcast devices to manage content broadcast to mobile devices.
